I’m Magnta💖

I’m an Venezuelan born artist living in Barcelona, Spain!

I’m a visual artist doing illustrations and painterly artworks!
I paint artwork with both Digital and Physical Tools.
For my digital art I use Clips Studio Paint, Blender and my very loyal Wacom Cintiq 13hd (it’s already over 10 years old!)
For physical tools, I use pencils, makers, watercolor, gouache and screenprinting!

I love making paintings fantasy art that explore the dark corners of the world, human psyche and surrealism. I love making people uncomfy with dark artworks and comics. But I also have a soft side making cutesy art, tho it’s not my forte sometimes it comes naturally. I also love exploring art history and archeology, applying what I learn from it on my art! It’s very inspiring!

I started drawing since I’m very little… but I got very serious about it when I was 11 years old after going to art museums and starting to listen to Gorillaz! I learned to draw and use digital art tool on my own but after high-school I studied Illustration in a very small art institute in Caracas, I got a very boring paper and plastic star saying I do illustration out of it after having so many perfect scores, wow. But I’ve been working as an professional artist right after I graduated high-school, so it’s been over 16 years! (unless exchanging lunch money for anime art as a kid counts as being a professional 😂)

I try to share what I know about art making best I can, making some art educational content to help artist or… for those who are just curious! (look at the art packs!)
